Last week, Michael Kitces produced an article on his website covering the 2019 Academic Research Colloquium of the CFP Board. Kitces is a big deal in the financial planning community. He provides innovative continuing education for practitioners. Through his website, you can find out about the different academic conferences--divided by sub-field (investments, estate planning, insurance, etc.)--as well as cutting-edge research in the discipline. Dr. Derek Tharp, assistant professor of finance at the University of Southern Maine, wrote the article that mentions our paper. Of the approximately 35 non-keynote papers presented at the ARC, only seven were selected for the Kitces article.
